School Partnerships to Support Language Learning


Abstract
Do you have a partner school in Indonesia?
Would you like a partnership with a school in Indonesia?
How can you best utilize a school partnership to support learning Indonesian language in your classroom? 
Discover how other teachers are optimizing Indonesian language learning in their classrooms and across curriculum through school partnerships.
Explore tools available to you that support school partnerships and global collaborations.

​Biodata 
For over seven years Bonnie has worked on various projects at the AEF to promote global skills such as intercultural understanding and proficiency in multiple languages. Since 2009 she has been building bridges between Australian and Indonesian school communities with the AEF’s BRIDGE School Partnerships Project, delivering professional learning in Indonesian and English to over 1000 educators in Australia and Indonesia.
Bonnie has spent a number of years studying and working in Indonesia including a two-year post with an Indonesian Islamic university through Australian Volunteers International. She is fluent in Indonesian and has maintained active and ongoing engagement with the Indonesian community in Melbourne, including being invited by the Indonesian Consulate to perform as master of ceremonies for events such as Festival Indonesia and a visit by Indonesian Vice President Boediono in 2013.
Bonnie completed a Master of Arts (Asian Societies) at the University of Melbourne into the politics of personal and public religious identity and expressions of piety in democratized Indonesia.
