ASILE conference presentation:
BRIDGE sister school
How we at Victor Harbor High School set up a sister school through the AEF BRIDGE Project and what we do to maintain this relationship.
I studied a B.Ed in 1989-90 at Flinders University, left to work and raise my family, returning in 2007 to complete a BA majoring in Indonesian, ESL and a minor in Visual Arts.
I went on to Adelaide University to complete a Dip. Ed in 2010. I have taught at Victor Harbor High School since this time, teaching Indonesian years 8-12, History, Geography, English and SOSE years 8-10.
I have taken a group of students to Malaysia, and acted as coordinator of Languages-Indonesian and international students at Victor Harbor High School.
Our school has won an Modern Language Teachers Association of South Australia (MLTASA) award for an outstanding language program.
