Biodata
I started studying a BA at Flinders Uni in 1974 and finished with a PhD in 2011. I have had my fill of study! I have been teaching for 37 years including in Indonesia and Greece. I speak and have taught English, French, Greek (my mother tongue) and Indonesian. I have also taught Drama, Maths, Science (very badly), Special Ed, ESL, Work Education and Australian Studies. I introduced Indonesian into my school in 1998 after retraining in it in response to our feeder schools wanting students to be able to do Indonesian at high school. Since then I have taken groups of students to Indonesia and Malaysia. Currently I am coordinator of Languages-Indonesian and international students at Victor Harbor High School. For personal reasons I am retiring at the end of the year. I have won an INTAN award for Indonesian teaching and our school has won a Modern Language Teachers Association of South Australia (MLTASA) award for an outstanding language program.
